Both versions use a simple fermentation process powered by a ginger bug. With just a few ingredients, you’ll get that satisfying sparkle without preservatives or shortcuts. Perfect over ice, mixed into cocktails, or enjoyed on its own.

📝 Ingredients & Tools for Brewing Perfect Homemade Ginger Beer at Home
Ginger Bug (Day 1–7)
20 g (2 tbsp) grated organic ginger
¼ cup (50 ml) filtered water
12.5 g (1 tbsp) organic sugar
(Feed daily until day 7, then once a week to maintain)
Ginger Solution
150–200 g (1½ cups) chopped organic ginger
200 g (1 cup) organic sugar
2000 ml (2.1 qts) filtered water
Ginger Beer
1.5 qts ginger solution
150 g (⅔ cup) ginger bug
Strawberry Ginger Beer
1.5 qts ginger solution
150 g (⅔ cup) ginger bug
450 g (16 oz) strawberry purée

🍺 Method
Make the Ginger Bug
Combine ginger, sugar, and water.
Feed daily with the same ratio for 7 days.
Prepare Ginger Solution
Simmer ginger, sugar, and water for 5 minutes.
Let it cool completely before adding ginger bug.
Brew the Ginger Beer
Mix 1.5 qts ginger solution with 150 g ginger bug.
For strawberry version, add 450 g strawberry purée.
Ferment
Store in a cool dark place.
Burp daily to release pressure.
Ready in 2–3 days once carbonation is strong.
Chill & Enjoy
Refrigerate fully before serving.
Pour over ice or use as a cocktail mixer.
